NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - Cataract Steel Industries, Inc., (CSI) has announced the addition of Gabriel Edwards as director of sales. Edwards was most recently the sales manager over the thermal systems division at API Heat Transfer in Cheektowaga, N.Y.

"We are fortunate to have a sales director of Gabe's caliber on board at Cataract Steel," said CSI President Scott Costanzo. "He brings both an engineer's training and a wealth of industry sales and marketing experience to our team.

" Edwards earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology from Buffalo State College in 2003, and a masters in business administration with a marketing minor from St. Bonaventure University in 2007.

In his stint with API, Edwards led sales, marketing and product development projects, travelled internationally representing the company, and supervised computer-aided drafters. Prior to that, he was was a sales engineer and systems administrator for Niagara Blower Company in Buffalo.

"Cataract Steel's focus on custom heat-exchange solutions for its customers was very appealing to me as a problem-solver," said Edwards. "Our focus is on customer service, on solving challenging issues and on providing a solution that maximizes our clients' production."
